While off campus technicians may request to remotely access your computer for remote service. This article will outline the steps to complete this procress.
Downloading Teamviewer
WesternU has a branded version of the remote assistance application Teamviewer that can be downloaded at the link below:
https://ra.westernu.edu
After accessing the site, your browser will begin downloading a file called TeamviewerQS if given the open, select Open or Run.
If prompted to allow the program to Run or Make Changes to Your Computer please click Open or Yes


A screen will appear that will show your name and a session code that will look like the image below. Please let the technician know that your device is ready for remote access

When the technician has requested access, a popup will appear asking to allow their access, please click Allow


MacOS - Review System Access
If you are allowing remote access on a Mac computer, you will see a screen appear like the one below:

You will need to allow permissions for the program by clicking the Request Access button next to Screen Recording and Accessibility
After clicking Request Access you will be brought to a System Preferences window like the one below, please checkmark Teamviewer QuickSupport. If the options are greyed out, click the Lock in the bottom-left and input an administrative password (this is usually the password to your computer).
