Is ChatGPT free?
Yes, the research preview is free to use.
Can I change my e-mail address?
Currently no. Changing the e-mail address your account was created with is not supported. See OpenAI FAQ.
Can an individual account be added to an organization account?
Yes, an individual can be created first and then added to an organization. An invitation to join an organizational account can also be sent to a specific user.
Is a phone number required for account verification during the set-up process?
Yes, a phone number is required for account set up and a PIN is texted to the phone number as part of the verification process during account set up.
If you delete your account, can you reuse the mobile number for additional accounts?
To prevent fraud and abuse, OpenAI does not allow you to reuse your phone for verification for more than 2 unique OpenAI accounts. "This is true only if you create the additional accounts before deleting any account linked to that phone number." A 3rd unique account would require the use of a different phone number. After account deletion can my phone number be removed from my OpenAI account?
No, OpenAI does no all you to unlink phone numbers to prevent fraud and abuse. The 2 unique sign ups limit applies. See OpenAI FAQ
Submitted and Generated Content
Are the outputs from ChatGPT accurate?
OpenAI expressly indicates that content it generates as an output my be inaccurate, incorrect, harmful, or baised.
Can ChatGPT give wrong answers?
Yes. ChatGPT can occasionally make up facts or what they call "hallucinated" outputs. OpenAI asks that users reports unrelated answers to questions by providing feedback using the"Thumbs Down" button. See OpenAI FAQ
