Set Default Programs/Apps (Windows 10)

• How do I change/set default programs/applications in Windows 10?

1. Open the Start Menu by clicking on the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen
2. Type "Default app settings" 
3. Click enter when the option appears to click on "Default app settings"

Default apps

• There is a default list of app types but by scrolling to the bottom of the page three (3) additional options are available for more app types
  • Choose default apps by file type
  • Choose default apps by protocol
  • Set defaults by app

1. "Set defaults by app" is the most direct way of changing defaults.
2. Select the app and then select "Manage"
