NBME Testing Software

Question

• Software can be run on Windows, Mac Computers, and iPads
• On Windows & Mac, it is recommended that you re-download the software each time you use it, this will prevent old version issues.

1. NBME download options
   • Windows & Mac: NBME Software (wbt.nbme.org/exam)
   • iPad: NBME Exam Delivery
   • Note: if using iPad you will DO NOT have to complete the following steps
2. After download then you will follow the prompts to complete the exam certification
3. Once completed you will need to exit from the secure browser
   • Control + Shift + Q, quits the secure browser
4. Good practice to quit/close any additional software running on your device
5. Re-launch the software to begin your exam

• Be sure you are connected to wifi network, we do not recommend the guest wifi 
• Restart your computer if app becomes frozen
• On iPad if you need to restart the device you will need to enter the following sequence: Volume Up, Volume Down, hold Power Button until device restarts
