Introduction
Microsoft Teams is the preferred method of communication internally for the university, this article will help customers understand how to select their appropriate audio, and video devices when using Teams.
Outside of a Meeting
- When outside of a meeting, or during a call, click on the three little dots towards the top right of the Teams window, then click "Settings", then click "Devices"

A new window should open, and will see drop-down menus for microphones, and speakers. If you scroll down the page, you will find a drop-down for video devices as well. use these menus to find the correct device to use. Close the window when you are done.
During a Meeting
- Click "More" towards the top of the screen.
- Click "Device Settings" on the menu that appears.
- You should now be looking at a pane on the right side of the Teams window. In this pane there are multiple drop-downs for selecting what devices you want/need to use.
- After selecting your devices, make sure to close the pane using the "X" on the pane, and not the one to close the whole Teams window.
