Jamf Connect for macOS

• Jamf Connect is a resource managed by WesternU IT to create accounts on Apple macOS devices
• Jamf Connect assist in synchronizing your WesternU password to your device
• Jamf Connect has a designated Login Window screen, when connected to a network

While using the Jamf Connect Login Window, you must be connected to the internet for the first time you sign-in to create your account on the device, "building your profile". If you are off campus, you will be able to connect to an available Wifi network. If you are on campus you will need a wired ethernet connection to have the login window appear.

At this time the Jamf Connect Login Window does not work with EDUROAM campus network, when on campus you will need a wired Ethernet connection.

Jamf Connect Login Window

• Enter full WesternU email
• Fulfill Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirements
• Upon first login
  • Activate FileVault requirement

1. Refresh the connection to Jamf Connect Login Window
2. Help menu will open a window to this KB
3. Wifi/Network menus

Local Login Window

Will only work after your account is created during first login with Jamf Connect, as mentioned above.

• For username do not include @westernu.edu of your email, example wuemployee
• Allows for login when the device is not connected to a network
• Alternatively works as login to Jamf Connect, meaning you dont always have to use Jamf Connect login window

• From the Jamf Connect Login Window you can switch to Local Login Window by selecting the icon
  • This allows you switch from either login window

• Jamf Connect is only available for WesternU supported macOS, these versions can be found here
