How to Use Audio Visual Equipment in HEC: SIM Lab 2

1. Present Source

The AV Control Panel is located on the podium next to the computer monitors. This device controls all the audio-visual equipment in the lab.

2. To turn on the AV System, please tap on the screen of the AV Touch Panel and enter the passcode. The passcode for this AV System is "2013".

3. The end user will be on the "Shortcuts Page". This page shows room shortcuts that send sources to all the displays.

4. Once a source is selected, the AV System will power on. Please give the system a few seconds to boot up. The displays will turn on with the desired source appearing on all of them.

5. This next page is the "Video Routing Page". This allows the user to select different sources from the AV Touch Panel. The layout consists of the sources located at the top and displays at the bottom of the AV Touch Panel. 

6. To make a selection of a source. Please tap on a source on the top of the AV Touch Panel. Make sure the source is highlighted in blue. Once highlighted, select a zone or send to all zones.

7. To adjust volume control on this page. Please use the Volume Sliders at the bottom of the AV Touch Panel. The Volume Sliders are to adjust Voice Audio and Program Audio. Voice Audio is audio coming from Microphones. This Lab has 1 Lavalier Microphone and 1 Handheld Microphone. Program Audio is audio coming from a PC/Laptop or any other Device that is connected to the AV System.

8. System Shutdown

9. To turn off the system. Please tap on the green power button. Once selected, a popup page will appear. Select power off and once it shuts down, it will default back to Western U Logo Page.
